Would you use a shotgun to hit a target with the highest degree of accuracy? You will most likely get the job done; however, it probably isn’t the most refined approach that will provide optimal results.

While our coaches are best-known for their in-depth knowledge and attention to detail, you could unlock a whole new level of training by providing them with additional data that increases the effectiveness of their training prescriptions.

Having such accurate data collection at our fingertips is highly unique

Data such as the maximum amount of force you can produce through your arms or legs, the speed at which your muscles can react to a required change of direction or even which limb you favour when creating that force, is very difficult to spot – even with our coaches’ well-trained eyes.

We are fortunate enough to have a tool in the gym which gives your coach an insight into this data as well as more! Force Plates are normally reserved for elite athletes, having them here allows our every day clients to get access to the most bespoke of programming and therefore results.

The clients profile can highlight strength imbalances that might otherwise go undiscovered

Our on-site force plates allow for gold-standard data collection (force plate profiling) to take place in the facility with minimal set up. Having such accurate data collection at our fingertips is highly unique, and rarely available in your average gym. You don't need to be a professional athlete or chasing a performance goal to benefit from force plate profiling.

They provide information about the forces involved in your movement that can aid a coach to objectively evaluate a client’s execution of a skill or his/her physical development. This can be specific to the client’s needs and dependent on what question the client or the coach wants to answer. The consequence of this data collection is an insight into the client’s muscle mechanics and how best to personalise training around these mechanics.

Recurring injury that doesn’t seem to be resolving? The profile can highlight strength imbalances that might otherwise go undiscovered. Correcting these imbalances in training is important to ensure you stay injury free and training consistently!
